Happy New Year 2025

Happy New Year 2025

The STICS team would like to wish you all the best for 2025, a year in which we will continue to use the STICS model to help you better understand and represent how our agricultural systems work, and contribute to building more sustainable agriculture

In recent years, the STICS model has been used in projects on biogeochemical cycles and soil carbon, on quantifying N2O emissions, on the impacts and adaptation of agriculture to climate change, and on associated crops, etc. The use of the model in tropical contexts has increased.

This year, a new updated version for simulating associated crops is due to be released, while other developments are continuing to take account of phosphorus and disease regulation in associated cover crops. The model is also continuing its international trajectory, notably via the AgMIP crop model intercomparison project. We are also planning new training courses for users, in the form of webinars in English, which will enable us to meet the growing number of cosmopolitan requests.

We wish you as much enthusiasm in your projects in 2025 with the STICS model, as we have on our side thanks to you!

Happy New Year 2025.
