A project team leading a community of over 3,000 users in 110 countries

The Stics network

The Stics network is made up of all the users of the model registered on its software forge. It brings together more than 3,000 users in around 110 countries.

Network members apply the model in different agri-environmental contexts, suggest improvements, publish scientific articles, and thus contribute to its evolution in interaction with the STICS Project Team that coordinates the network.

They have the opportunity to meet every two years at the STICS symposium.

The STICS Project Team

Composed of experts in soil-crop-atmosphere systems, computer science and scientific computing, the Stics project team plays an essential role as a scientific resource and in evaluating the processes implemented and the parameterization of the model version provided to users. The team is responsible for distributing and maintaining the model and associated software tools, analyzing the performance of simulations, and communicating these results to users. Additionally, it contributes to the development and enhancement of the model to address new topics, adapt it to new environments, or improve its performance.

Finally, the STICS Project Team organizes introductory training courses in the use of the model and participates in the organization of STICS symposia, both on a material and scientific level.
