Javastics and Stics 10.4.1

New JavaStics software and Stics version available

The latest software distribution of JavaStics and STICS 10.4.1 is downloadable

The latest software distribution version 10.4.1 of JavaStics (CeCILL-B license) and STICS (CeCILL-C license) is available and compatible with the previous one. The JavaSTICS-10.4.1-10.4.1.zip archive and the STICS source files (STICS-sources-10.4.1.zip) as well, are downloadable here.

The JavaSTICS, STICS and the Book are now managed in a single repository in order to be consistent about compatibility and facilitate maintenance.

So, the release version number (e.g. 10.4.1) applies to JavaSTICS, STICS and the related documentation.

This JavaStics distribution is compatible with the previous ones using STICS 10.x.y and thus uses the same files formats.

STICS version has been improved on a few points:

  • new output variables have been added
  • output dates management in report file and leap year handling have been improved
  • metadata on input parameters have been validated
  • fixed `ires` calculation for roots
  • fixed fertilisation validation
  • the radish plant file now have a prototype status.

JavaSTICS has evolved too

  • Several usability enhancements have been made: usms selection in the multi-run mode (double click, select all), cancelling a multi-run process, closing tabs with a middle click, and more.
  • Usms naming convention has been changed with less constraints, allowing more flexibility in the names.
  • Now allows the use of 999 as a null equivalent value in parameters files edition.

The full changes list is given in the RELEASE_NOTES.md file (doc directory).

Formalisms and model use are fully described in the Stics book available here and on the Editions QUAE platform.
